Dixie and I attended the U of Missouri/columbia from '75 to '79. We both studied Journalism. She did print, I did broadcast. She fell in love with her college boyfriend. got married and decided to stay in Columbia after college. She got her teaching degree and has taught in the Columbia school systems since 1981 or so. When I returned for my 20th reunion, we caught up and she told me she had been recognized by the state of Missouri as an outstanding teacher and was duly recognized with money, accolades and the such. She didn't have children at the time but that might have changed these past 11 years. Her folks, I believe are both past. You'll remember they were older than most of our folks there at BYF....anyway, that's what I know of Dixie!
I was in the U.C.Dept. in Wausau 1949-50 and the WSES in Manitowoc 1950-56. When I left I started working at the Hamilton Mfg. Co in Two Rivers and my boss was Francis Hess, whose first job after college (UW-Mad) was in the NYA, thanks to your father. I retired in 1986 from personnel director, Eggers Industries, Two Rivers and moved down here, to Silver City NM. If you're ever nearby, stop in. Thanks for responding, Julie
